BREAKING NEWS-NEW APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

Due to the current crisis our new appointment system will be implemented from Monday 23rd March 2020.  Please see the attached sheet entitled Big Changes.  Please bear with us during these challenging times.  Our staff are here to help you, thanks you for your patience and understanding.

Big Changes 23rd March 2020

Coronavirus/Covid-19

If you have a new persistent cough, fever or shortness of breath DO NOT ATTEND the surgery. You should self-isolate at home for 7 days. Further advice is available on https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response

If you feel your condition is deteriorating ring NHS 111 and they will advise you and arrange further assessment if required.

If you need to discuss another health issue but also have cough, fever or shortness of breath, then contact the surgery for a telephone appointment with the urgent care team.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Prescriptions

Please be aware that the Practice is under considerable pressure in relation to the volumes of prescriptions currently being received. We are doing our best to process requests within 2 working days.

Please DO NOT telephone the practice to check if your prescription is ready as this is delaying us in being able to process all of the requests.

We are unable to advise of progress of prescriptions once these have left the Practice and are with the chemist. We are aware that some chemists have needed to change their opening hours to cope with demand and may be shutting for lunch in order to allow staff to adequately rest to ensure the safety of staff and services provided. Please do not telephone the Practice if you are unable to contact the chemist during these times as we are not able to give you any information.

Please also be aware that we are unable to increase volumes of prescriptions, normal prescriptions will be issued monthly/bi-monthly.
