If you are a patient of the Newbury Street Practice, you are automatically a member of the new Patient Group known as The LINK Group. New channels of communication were needed between patients and medical staff, so earlier this year, a Steering Committee of patients was formed, at the request of the practice doctors, to establish a patient group.
The group needed a name that summed up its aims and 'The LINK Group' was chosen because its main aim is to forge a close link between patients and practice staff. LINK is a neat acronym for Liaison, Information, News and Knowledge - terms that express the main aims of the group.
The LINK Committee would welcome ideas for inclusion in its programme of events.
It is important that our activities are relevant to the needs of patients, who are all members of LINK. Please let us know your ideas, or any other comments you wish to make which might apply to patients generally. There is a tray at reception for your correspondence. Please keep an eye on the notice board in the Practice for news of future events.
