Gables Care Group is a registered charity that initially arose as an extension of provision for terminal care by Newbury Street Practice.

The Gables Care Group continues to prove its worth by providing equipment and services for the patients of the Newbury Street Practice that are not available through the National Health Service supply system. Our Diabetics continue to get their Glucometers and soft touch pens (instruments to take and measure blood sugar) through the Gables Care Group and this is much appreciated.
We bought a blood pressure monitor costing over £1000 with which to monitor patients' blood pressure over 24 hours. This is an invaluable asset to the diagnosis and management of patients with high blood pressure and will help to reduce the frequency of death by stroke and heart attack.
Many donations have been received, some through legacies and some through direct donations and all are very welcome and thankfully received. In fact the sum of £2,723.65 was put into the Gables Care Group account last year.
